What it is
What is a Facturae e-invoice
A PDF invoice is not an e-invoice in Facturae format. Facturae is Spain's e-invoicing format: an XML file with the invoice data laid out in a fixed structure, electronically signed so it is clear who issued it and that it has not been changed. It is the format you upload to FACe, the Spanish public administration's general entry point for e-invoices.
With FacturaCom you don't need another application to do it. You create the invoice as usual in the Sales module, and the software generates its Facturae file and signs it with your company's digital certificate. Then you upload it to FACe or send it to your customer.
E-invoicing and Veri*Factu are not the same thing. Veri*Factu requires your software to record every invoice and add its QR code, and every invoice you issue with FacturaCom does so. The e-invoice is the format you deliver it in when you are asked for one. FacturaCom does both: read what Veri*Factu is and see the other features.

Does FacturaCom do e-invoicing? +
Yes. It creates the invoice in Facturae format (XML), signed with your company's digital certificate, ready to upload to FACe or send to your customer.
Does FacturaCom send the invoice to FACe? +
It does not send it by itself: it creates the signed Facturae file and you upload it to FACe or send it to your customer.
What do I need to sign the e-invoice? +
Your company's digital certificate: FacturaCom uses it to sign each invoice in Facturae format.
Are e-invoicing and Veri*Factu the same thing? +
No. Veri*Factu requires your software to record every invoice and add its QR code; the e-invoice is the format you deliver it in. FacturaCom does both.
Is it suitable for the self-employed? +
Yes. FacturaCom is for businesses and the self-employed (autónomos): it handles invoices with IRPF withholding and with recargo de equivalencia (equivalence surcharge). For the self-employed, Veri*Factu is mandatory from 01/07/2027.
